The Challenge
Throughout this project, my primary goals were to make the Station body more easily manufacturable, improve the functionality with better camera angles and signal lights, and create a new mounting system to make it more secure and easier to install.
The Solution
I adjusted the shape to something that could be vacuum formed and had more internal area to improve assembly. To address installation, I designed a magnetic holder that the Station could easily snap into, with enough strength to hold it in place in the event of it being hit by a stray ball.
The Result

This new Station was not only more visually appealing and matched our brand image, it also had many functional improvements. The new shape more easily fit into tennis bags and backpacks and in combination with the upgraded cameras, had a wider view angle of the court. Integrated lights around the top edge allow for signalling that can call shots in or out to the user, without them needing to check their phone. This new look and new functionality brought the Station up to par with our other products, and matched our desired brand feel.
